the holidays came and went. i had two weeks off and didn't update this thing once. shame on me, i know.

over the course of said 2 weeks, i attended a few parties, took a trip down to camden, visited the

guggenheim and went to a hockey game where i snuck all the way from the top level to 8 rows away from the ice. i also consumed a lot of food and drank way too much. go me.

SHAKE SHACK ATTACK

Yesterday, i participated in perhaps, one of the most

phenomenal Crush lunches of all time.

Determined to experience the hype of the acclaimed

SHAKE SHACK in NYC, me and my fellow colleagues

geared up our iPhones (and bb's), and embarked on

the 12 block walk to the infamous shack.

prior to us embarking on our little adventure, we

opened up our web browsers and went to

shakeshacknyc.com to check out the live webcam

feed of the line so we'd know what we were getting

into. (Shake Shack is known for always having a

super long line and i now understand why).

SHAKE SHACK - ATTACK "08!

After waiting online for about 45 minutes, we finally get to the front. We order 3 cheesy fries, 'burgs, 'dogs, shakes... basically everything delicious. We find a seat and prepare for the godly meal we are about to devour.

Scott patiently waiting for the food... until it finally arrives!

Needless to say, we totally inhale every last morsel on the table.

After waiting a total of an hour 20 for our food, it's gone in 5 minutes.

Tonight was the first time since December i stepped foot into Angels & Kings.

You see, i had a bet with my good friend S*A*M* to see who could stay away longer.

I won. It wasn't hard either. In fact, I probably could have gone the rest of my life

without ever stepping foot in that place again and i would have died a happy girl.

So why, do you ask, was i there tonight? In my defense, it was only because my

friend Cass was throwing a party for her sister, and had asked me to come. She my girl yo!

who says you need drinks to be entertained when you've got people like this??

(actually, that's not totally true. i definitely needed to down at least 2 drinks to even handle all of them.)

this was pretty much my expression the whole night...

along with the thought of "getmeoutofhereasapPLEASE!"

the best part of the night was when boy-band-who-will-not-be-named

showed up looking like they stole the backstreet boy's wardrobe circa 1999.

side note: i wish i had a clear picture of all members and their outfits,

because it was truly spectacular and would have been worth sharing... er.... exploiting.

This past weekend, Ashley and I grabbed our ten-gallon hats

and headed down to Austin, TX for our 4th o' July.

this is the rooftop of the hotel we stayed at.

yes, rooftop pool AND hot tub. thankyouverymuch.

we went to Stubbs and ate bbq... and drank a plethora of Flaming Dr Pepper Shots...

And then proceeded to get very very drunk.
